In the nine seasons we've competed in the SLP I've never seen such a disparity between the top and bottom sides. I don't think there have ever been three teams so far adrift that they were basically all relegated by mid-March, and that's before you include teams that imploded and gave up mid-season like Banbury, Burnham and Corby. Even when we were terrible we usually had something to play for right up to the end.

Having so many very poor sides has contributed to the top sides having a higher than average points total this season, including us, and I suspect you're right, it has allowed most of the rest to coast for the last few months.
